We use a self-hosted, cookieless analytics system to understand and improve how our website is used. No cookies are set and no personal data is shared with third parties.
We collect: page views, time on site, referrer (where you came from), device and browser type (anonymized). Your IP address is not stored.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in improving our services. Data is automatically deleted after 90 days.
You can object to analytics at any time by enabling “Do Not Track” in your browser or declining analytics cookies in our cookie banner.
The application and database are hosted on a Hetzner VPS in Germany. Photos and videos are stored on Hetzner Object Storage (S3-compatible) in Germany. All data remains in Germany. Privacy Policy
When logging in via Google, we receive name and email address from the Google profile. Google password data is not transmitted to us. Privacy Policy
Transactional emails (invitations, password resets, reminders) are sent via Resend. Resend receives the recipient's email address. Privacy Policy
Payments are processed by Stripe Inc. Stripe receives the data necessary for payment processing (name, email, payment information). Stripe is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Privacy Policy
We use Pusher (MessageBird) for real-time chat and notifications. Message content and user IDs are transmitted. Processing takes place on EU servers. Privacy Policy
Note on third-country transfers: Google (USA), Stripe (USA) and Resend (USA) are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF). The transfer is based on Art. 45(1) GDPR in conjunction with the EU Commission's adequacy decision.
Photos and videos are automatically deleted after a period configurable by the couple (default: 7 days after the wedding). RSVP data, guestbook entries, and all other wedding data are deleted along with the user account.
Guests do not need an account for RSVP — access is via a personal token link. Token data is deleted along with the associated wedding.
